Thanks for visiting the official website for Primary Eyecare and Optical of Meridian! If you're looking for a skilled optometrist in Meridian (or and surrounding areas in MS, AL, and FL), either Dr. Duong or Dr. Dooley will fit the bill beautifully. Our clinic can help you with:
Eye Exam Services - Most individuals should have an eye exam every year to check for ocular diseases and disorders. We use a variety of procedures and equipment to look for such common but potentially eye disorders as glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration. Our Optos "optomap" retinal Imaging using the Marco OPD Retinal Imaging machine lets us note early signs of diabetic retinopathy, detached retina or other retinal disorders. Vision testing tells us whether you have refractive errors that may require corrective lenses.
Eye Disease Care - While not all eye diseases are curable, most of them are at least controllable through timely counseling, treatment and other forms of eye care. The progress of glaucoma, for instance, can often be slowed through oral medications and/or eye drops, while injectable drugs can help patients suffering from macular degeneration. If your cataracts affect your vision significantly, we can refer you to a highly-skilled eye surgeon to have them surgically removed.
Seasonal Allergies- Seasonal allergies can a variety of uncomfortable eye symptoms such as tearing, redness, itching and irritation. If you can't get the source of your allergy under control, bring your irritated eyes to Primary Eyecare and Optical of Meridian. We can prescribe anti-allergy shots, special eye drops, or non-sedating oral antihistamines to help you get those seasonal allergies under control.
Dry Eye Syndrome - Dry eye syndrome may be caused by insufficient blinking related to computer usage, or it may have a physical origin such as low tear production or an imbalance in tear composition. We can isolate the reason for your dry eyes and offer the appropriate treatment, from artificial tears or medicated eye drops to punctal plugs that keep tears from draining away from the eye prematurely.
Eyeglasses, Contacts and Frames - Once our optometrist in Meridian determines your exact corrective lens prescription, you can get your eyeglasses or contacts made right here at our clinic. (Contact lenses require an extra exam to measure the shape and size of your cornea.) We carry an enormous variety of beautiful designer frames from Polo, Izod, ProDesign, Vera Wang, BCBG, Guess, Oakley, Nike, Silhouette and others. you can also get specialty lenses such as blue-light filtering computer glasses. Digital progressive lenses offer the most accurate possible gradation for "no-line" multifocal lenses.
Our Meridian eye doctor is looking forward to meeting you and helping your entire family with its eye care and vision needs. Contact Primary Eyecare and Optical of Meridian today to schedule a consultation, see our facilities in person, and take the first step toward a lifetime of healthier eyes.
